Labor historian Cal Winslow discusses E.P. Thompson’s work and life and the forging of the New Left in Sasha Lilley’s Against the Grain. Winslow is a former student of Thompson and editor of E.P. Thompson and the Making of the New Left: Essays and Polemics (Monthly Review Press, 2014).
